SkillMatch

SkillMatch was a design and development project aimed at creating an accessible and responsive job board platform for connecting job seekers with employers. Using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, I developed intuitive interfaces for key pages like the homepage, job categories, blogs, and authentication screens. On the backend, I utilized Firebase for database management and user authentication, implementing a scalable content seeding process for blog posts and categories. Accessibility was a priority, and I followed WCAG guidelines to ensure keyboard navigation, sufficient color contrast, and compatibility with assistive technologies. I also addressed challenges like formatting blog content stored in Firebase, ensuring proper paragraph breaks by incorporating HTML tags during the seeding process. The platform provides job seekers with an easy-to-navigate experience and employers with efficient tools to manage job postings and attract top talent. By balancing aesthetics and functionality, the platform delivers a modern, inclusive solution for its audience.
